Located in the Saadiyat Cultural District, the Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum is the largest museum in the region, covering over 35000 square metres. Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum has different galleries that guide visitors across Earth’s history, including The Story of Earth, The Evolving world, Resilient Planet, and Earth’s Future.
There are also interactive areas like The PalaeoLab, The Life Sciences Lab, Arabia’s Climate, Beyond the Horizon, and The Human Story where you can learn more about science. An interactive theatre shows the visitors exciting visual journeys through time.

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, visited the new museum on Thursday, ahead of its public opening. Started their museum journey with a world-first display of a herd of sauropod dinosaurs arranged in a lifelike way, which is designed to take visitors back to prehistoric time.
Promoting Scientific Thinking and Sustainability
The leaders explored the museum’s educational and environmental features during their visit, which aims to promote scientific thinking, emphasise the value of sustainability, and help visitors consider how humans affect the environment.

According to Sheikh Khaled, The Natural History Museum in Abu Dhabi, discoveries and modern exhibitions represent the UAE’s growing role in natural sciences. He stressed the museum provides the strong learning hub that helps the public understand biodiversity, sustainability and taking care of the environment. He also added that places like this are important for inspiring future generations and supporting research to address climate change.
Sheikh Hamdan said the museum significantly enhances the cultural and scientific environment of the United Arab Emirates. He highlighted that it enhances the nation’s credibility as a centre of knowledge, creativity and proof-based thinking on a global scale.
