This year on November 20, Oman is marking its 55th National day. National day is an official day of celebration in the Sultanate of Oman, and it celebrates the date of the founding of the Al Bu Said dynasty, which has ruled Oman since 1744.
UAE Joins Oman for its 55th National Day Celebration
The UAE joins in the celebration of the National day of Oman, which is celebrated on November 20 every year. In the UAE, people often mark this day with festivities and by decorating landmarks with Omani flags to show respect and celebrate Oman’s National Day with love.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, also expressed his congratulations to Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq on the occasion of the 55th National day of Oman on Thursday, November 20. Highlighting the strong relationship between the two gulf countries.
“On this National Day of Oman, I extend my sincere congratulations to my brother Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and the people of Oman. The bonds of friendship between our nations and peoples are long-standing, and we look forward to further enhancing these ties to foster lasting progress and prosperity,” Sheikh Mohamed said.
Two-Day Holiday announced for Both Public and Private Sectors
This year the celebration is marked with a large military parade in the capital, Muscat, on the occasion of the 55th National Day of Oman. Authorities in the Sultanate of Oman announced on Sunday an official holiday for employees to observe the occasion. Employees in both sectors will have Wednesday, November 26, and Thursday November 27, as days off.
