Shahrukh Khan is honoured as Dubai announced a commercial tower named after him
Shah Rukh Khan, known as the Badshah of Bollywood and one of the biggest global stars, is honoured as Dubai reveals a tower named after him. The Actor celebrated his cherished connection with Dubai, a city he often calls his second home, by being one of the first Bollywood stars to own property in the emirate. Once again making history by being the first actor to have his name featured across a Dubai skyscraper. It is a landmark moment where cinema meets real estate.
Shah Rukh Khan made an announcement at a grand event in Mumbai on Friday, hosted by his longtime friend, director and choreographer Farah Khan. The event revealed an iconic project called Shahrukhz by Danube. The SRK Tower will be built as a 55 story commercial Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road, named after him.
The Pathan Actor shared his excitement about the SRK Tower, marking his entry into real estate. In his statement SRK reflected on his Long Standing bond with Dubai, calling it a place that celebrates “dreams, ambitions and possibilities” known worldwide as a symbol of success and determination. The SRK Tower Shahrukhz by Daunbe, this commercial project is a symbol of how far belief and hard work can take you.” He said.
In the event, SRK said in Hindi, “We don’t chase dreams, we turn them into reality. Legacy isn’t inherited, it is made. This project is a part of that legacy.
The Tower, expected to be completed in 2029 is one of the most lavish commercial projects. The 1 million square foot tower, with prices starting at Dh1.7 million, is designed to be a global hub for entrepreneurs, innovators, and fast-growing businesses. A statue of Shah Rukh Khan in his iconic arms-out pose will be placed at the entrance for visitors to take pictures.
The Tower, developed by the Danube group, marks another collaboration between the brand and the actor. The actor praised their partnership in the past, having done several major campaigns and sharing the same spirit of aspiration and excellence in the future.
