    In the Mark of the 54th Year UAE National Day 2025 celebration, The UAE government has officially announced December 1 and 2 (Monday and Tuesday) as a 4-day-long weekend.
    As the National Day holiday arrived in the first week of December, according to the cabinet calendar, this will be the year’s last long break.

    National Day Celebration brings together families and communities to celebrate unity as they remember a resilient past, embrace a vibrant present and construct a bright future. It commemorates the historic occasion on December 2, 1971 when all 7 rulers of the emirates came together to form the United Arab Emirates.

    When Is UAE National Day 2025?

    The UAE marks its 54th Eid Al Eitehad (National Day 2025) celebration on Tuesday, December 2.

    December 2 and December 3 are officially scheduled as National Day holidays each year. As per the UAE public holiday law. This would provide a 2-day midweek break if followed as usual.

    UAE will Get a Four-Day-Long Weekend?

    The UAE has announced a 4-day break for residents as the final public holiday of the year, marking UAE National Day 2025, known as Eid Al Etihad celebrations.
    It’s going to be a four-day-long weekend, as the December 3 holiday will be moved to Monday, December 1, combined with Saturday and Sunday.
    December 1 and 2, Monday and Tuesday, have been declared as National Day holidays, and together with the weekend, it is likely to be a four-day-long break.
    The UAE government gives the residents a four-day-long break so they can celebrate national day with family and friends.

    Why Can Holidays Be Moved?

    In order, to give citizens more regular and frequently longer breaks, The UAE public holiday law allows authorities to adjust the dates of non-religious holidays.
    For example, the Islamic New Year holiday which is usually dependent on moon sightings was announced early this year and placed on a Friday, allowing more time for residents to plan.

    A National Celebration Every Year

    Every Year, the UAE hosts a grand celebration on December 2, where all the rulers of seven emirates gathers to celebrate festivities include fireworks, parades, cultural performances, city wide events and tribute to the country’s heritage and unity.
    With 2025 marking the 54th year of the nation’s founding and a potential long weekend on the horizon, residents can look forward to a memorable National Day celebration.
