The UAE National badminton team just blew up history by grabbing the Outdoor Badminton World Cup – National Teams Relay, beating out China 60-54 in a crazy final on gorgeous Khorfakkan Beach. The UAE Wins Outdoor Badminton World Cup achievements marks a huge milestone for the country and proves the country’s growing clout in UAE sports events 2025, and is proving they’re making waves on the international scene, especially in the new outdoor formats.

UAE Wins Outdoor Badminton World Cup – About The Event

The championship attracted a good crowd, with 96 athletes from 12 countries all competing for the top spot. The event, organised under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, felt like a grand festival of prowess and international sportsmanship. The UAE’s victory in the final was officially celebrated at the closing ceremony by Deputy Chief of Sharjah Ruler’s Office in Khorfakkan, Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, who named the national team as champions.

The tournament also saw some great performances from other nations. Brazil’s strong coordination and quick movements helped them nail down the men’s triples title and leave with that trophy, while China swept the women’s triples category and took that trophy.

Rising Status of UAE in the International Sports

Beyond the competition itself, the event showed how the UAE’s status in world sports is rising, combining world-class athletic achievements with the nation’s ability to put on big-time international events. Officials praised the Sharjah Sports Council and the event organisers for a perfect execution, good attendance and a sizzling atmosphere.

This historical UAE Badminton Team Victory not only develops the UAE international sports achievements but also showcases the country’s larger ambitions and increasingly successful sports to the world, combining world-class competition and beautiful coastal venues such as Khorfakkan and providing athletes and fans an experience they will remember.
